Parents' Thoughts on Ford's Legislation To Prevent Education Workers From Striking

The Ford government is establishing legislation this week that will prevent thousands of CUPE education workers from striking.

Education workers want public schools to be maintained and adequately staffed so that kids have all the supports they need to succeed. But these education workers need a decent livable wage that can catch up with inflation, and they can't do their best while juggling multiple jobs.

Zoomer Radio podcast Fight Back host Jane Brown was joined by Sandra Huh, Co-Chair of York Communities For Public Education on Oct 31st. Sandra is also a parent to a young child in the system and will be impacted by this strike. You may want to listen to how she reacted to the situation.

You will also hear from Jess Lyons, a lead organizer with Ontario Parent Action Network a nurse and a mom of three.
